In March of 2018, Google released a <\/span>statement<\/span><\/a> regarding their roll out for the <\/span>Mobile-First Index<\/b>, once again changing the parameters and priorities of how search ranking will be distinguished. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what does any of this mean?<\/b> Simply put, the <\/span>Mobile-First Index<\/b> now considers the \u201cmobile\u201d version of your website to be the \u201ctrue\u201d and \u201conly\u201d version. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes\u2026.you read that right. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Google<\/b>: \u201c<\/span>Mobile-first indexing means that we’ll use the mobile version of the page for indexing and ranking, to better help our \u2013 primarily mobile \u2013 users find what they’re looking for.<\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google knows better than anyone, that trends show consumers moving towards all mobile search. <\/span>60% of all searches<\/b> today are on mobile devices, in fact. And that number is growing so significantly, that Google decided to now only use your website\u2019s mobile version in considering rankings in search queries.
